1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name through Clerk, our authentication provider. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google profile.

Usage Data

We log API requests to our public endpoints, including your IP address, user agent, the endpoint accessed, and the ticker symbol queried. This data is stored in our PublicApiLog table for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Financial Models

If you save DCF or LBO models, the assumptions and results are stored in our database and associated with your user account.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: To identify you and secure your account
• Rate Limiting: To prevent abuse of our public API endpoints
• Product Improvement: To understand usage patterns and improve the Service
• Communication: To send account-related notifications (we do not send marketing emails)

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Clerk - Authentication and user management
• Supabase - Database hosting (PostgreSQL)
• Upstash - Redis caching and rate limiting
• Vercel - Application hosting and deployment
• Finnhub - Real-time stock price data

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (Clerk session cookies). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party analytics cookies are set.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. API logs are retained for 90 days for abuse prevention purposes and then automatically purged. Saved financial models are retained until you delete them or your account is closed.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data - request a copy of what we store
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your saved models

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and access-controlled database hosting. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
